About Molly

My Practice

  • Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese Medicine modality of treatment. During acupuncture the practitioner inserts thin needles in specific acupuncture points that are appropriate for the patient. The needles are typically retained while the patient rests.

  • During a session, it may be appropriate to utilize additional manual therapies to support the patient.

    Cupping:

Cupping is when suction is used to promote circulation to address certain conditions. There are cups that are used with a pump to pull out the air, and cups that fire is used to create the suction. Cupping is used to treat pain, promote movement of blood and qi, and can support the lungs and help relieve common cold symptoms.

    Gua Sha

Gua sha is a modality used to release the exterior, clear heat, and support qi and blood circulation. A tool is used, frequently a specialized gua sha tool or soup spoon, on the skin repeatedly over the same area. There are also gua sha techniques used for more beauty and relaxation purposes.

  • Dietary therapy can be used to support the patient in their goals. Dietary therapy is a great way for the patient to be able to continue working towards their health goals in their daily life.
